In the 2nd match minute, Formsvacka FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell-Arne Bengtsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 3rdth minute of the game Simon Martinsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Formsvacka FF's Jörn Strömberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute Marcelinho Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Strömberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jörn Strömberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Motta in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Stoke FF booed when Formsvacka FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Billing didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelinho Motta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jörn Strömberg having to make a save. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jörn Strömberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stoke FF's Niclas Andersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Jönsson in the 29th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Kevin Billing threw the ball into play from the sideline. Stoke FF's Ralf Hultstrand quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Marcelinho Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Sven-Olof Boström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Formsvacka FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stoke FF the free kick. Sven-Olof Boström kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Martinsson in the 43rd minute of play forced Formsvacka FF's goalkeeper Jörn Strömberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niclas Andersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kjell-Arne Bengtsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute Simon Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Strömberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

After a rather tough play, Formsvacka FF's Jimmy Hasselqvist got a free kick in the 66th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Formsvacka FF's zone, Marcelinho Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörn Strömberg came out of the goal and Marcelinho Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the match, Formsvacka FF's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Martinsson came free, but Jörn Strömberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelinho Motta's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jörn Strömberg firmly grabbed it by the left post.
