Frogner's Egil Blom suffered a concussion after 13 minutes and had to leave the field. When Kristoffer Forsberg fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trojanskahästen's protests and gave Kristoffer Forsberg a yellow card for diving instead. Frogner's Helge Melin was substituted for Egil Blom. In the 14th minute, Kristoffer Forsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tony Hallgren made a kick off. Trojanskahästen's Kjell Sandström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Lange in the 51st minute of play. Tony Hallgren in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kjell Sandström, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Frogner's goalkeeper Sixten Dahlgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Trojanskahästen were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Frogner's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roger Josefsson took the corner. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Trojanskahästen's goalkeeper Kjell Sandström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A well-hit corner resulted in Luís Gustavo Toscano heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Frogner walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
