Muhammed-Emir Benice kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Joga Bonito's Kutlualp Sav got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kutlualp Sav's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Guo Han Di firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Oldham Athletic's Zhao Yao Ying in 9 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Gustav Mineja guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Gustav Mineja stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zhao Yao Ying's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Guo Han Di took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthon Söderström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustav Mineja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anxo Cecilia in the 28th minute of the match. Joga Bonito's Gustav Mineja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Joga Bonito from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute, Oldham Athletic's Zhao Yao Ying dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. If Zhao Yao Ying had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Oldham Athletic walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
