The referee ignored GAIS's protests and gave Filip Bäckman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th match minute, GAIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Bäckman to maneuver through the defense. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for GAIS! The goalkeeper, Wlodzimierz Cipinski, was totally fooled by Al-Tåga's John Karlstedt, who 15 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Eilif Heldrup took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Bäckman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filip Bäckman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eilif Heldrup having to interfere. Konrad Josefsson kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ola Tillman got free with Wlodzimierz Cipinski in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Filip Bäckman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Konrad Josefsson's late challenge caught a Al-Tåga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Konrad Josefsson helped the player get up and apologised. Konrad Josefsson kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. GAIS's Wlodzimierz Cipinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iosif Cazan in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ola Tillman made the kick off in the second half. GAIS's Konrad Josefsson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kuntet Ballawi, made in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 53rd minute Paul Lund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eilif Heldrup saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrik Vinström's late challenge caught a GAIS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrik Vinström helped the player get up and apologised. Eilif Heldrup didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when GAIS's Isaac Göransson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Wlodzimierz Cipinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iosif Cazan in the 64th minute of play. John Karlstedt hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. GAIS's attentive Emilio Jakue managed to snatch the ball when Manfred Samuelsson made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. 83 minutes into the game, Max Godet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GAIS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Al-Tåga the free kick. Kasper Sundström charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kasper Sundström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 96 played minutes Al-Tåga got a freekick which was hit by Kasper Sundström. GAIS were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
