In the 6th minute Nickolai Nickerson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enekoitz Viñales saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Blattnicksele FK booed when Étoile Sportive Du Sahel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Fetea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 10 minutes, Nickolai Nickerson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nickolai Nickerson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eric Soned made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Dahlberg in the 29th minute of play. Linus Wållander made in the 31st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Karl Dahlberg immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Åberg in the 32nd minute of play forced Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper Eric Soned to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Radu Fetea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the game, Nickolai Nickerson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Enekoitz Viñales was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Enekoitz Viñales stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nickolai Nickerson's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute of the game Linus Wållander made a throw-in which Tobias Lundqvist played forward. In the 42ndth minute of the game Nickolai Nickerson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blattnicksele FK's Enekoitz Viñales was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jim Njurenius in the 44th minute. The corner led Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Jim Njurenius to fire away a dangerous shot which Enekoitz Viñales despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nickolai Nickerson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nickolai Nickerson in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enekoitz Viñales prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Enekoitz Viñales came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Nickolai Nickerson. But to his dismay, Nickolai Nickerson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 74th minute, Carlo Ancelotti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enekoitz Viñales was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Carlo Ancelotti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enekoitz Viñales read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play.
