When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Robert Abbondanzieri sped through Metalducks's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aleksander Engström. Morgan Kilberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Patrick Benet was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The audience was convinced that Jan Gunnarsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aleksander Engström was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game.
