When Georg Karlsson came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the AC Papaya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Georg Karlsson couldn't finish the play. Andy Söderqvist struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Sigvard Edström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rose Pigs. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georg Karlsson in the 23rd minute of play forced Rose Pigs's goalkeeper August Thidén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sigvard Edström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aron Engström, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Robin Ahlgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rose Pigs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Sigvard Edström made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Dennis Jacobsson sent off a good shot on target. Georg Karlsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AC Papaya's Sigvard Edström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save AC Papaya from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute Andy Söderqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigvard Edström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lennart Hafström made a kick off. Reine Månsson made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AC Papaya's Sonny Berggren. August Thidén made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sonny Berggren in the 54th minute.
