Mellbystrand IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Candido Urbes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Vestlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hans Vestlund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kurt Brogren's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Mumins Legender's Hans Vestlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Brogren in the 25th minute of play. Mellbystrand IK's Kurt Brogren got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Candido Urbes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Hans Vestlund made a huge save. With a little luck, Mumins Legender's Hans Vestlund got control of the ball when Kurt Brogren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hans Vestlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Brogren in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mumins Legender's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Konrad Nordin was slow to take the kick. During this time Mellbystrand IK's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mumins Legender's goalie and right to Candido Urbes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mumins Legender's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Kurt Brogren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kurt Brogren scored 0-6 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hans Vestlund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Candido Urbes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Mellbystrand IK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mumins Legender throughout the match.
