After 3 played minutes Mellbystrand IK got a freekick which was hit by Gorka Vialpando. In the 5thth minute of the game Honu Ng who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mellbystrand IK's Daniel Alrot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Mellbystrand IK's goal looked a bit too open when Honu Ng came free, but Daniel Alrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute Kurt Brogren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Juhlin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Brogren in the 17th minute of play forced Åhus Absolut F.C's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Juhlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Åke Juhlin came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Mellbystrand IK's Kurt Brogren. But to his dismay, Kurt Brogren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 24 minutes into the match, Mellbystrand IK's Kurt Brogren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan-Åke Juhlin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kurt Brogren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Juhlin having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kurt Brogren in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Åke Juhlin saved Åhus Absolut F.C from getting behind. In the 28th minute Kurt Brogren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Juhlin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Åhus Absolut F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Veselin Sveshtarov to maneuver through the defense. Jan-Åke Juhlin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Brogren in the 34th minute of the match. If Kurt Brogren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 minutes of play, Åhus Absolut F.C's Lars Julin made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Alrot was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Mellbystrand IK's Kurt Brogren in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Åhus Absolut F.C's goalie prevented a goal. 47 minutes into the match, Åhus Absolut F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Brogren came free, but Jan-Åke Juhlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kurt Brogren to strike the kick off in the second half. Leif Ahlbeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jan-Åke Juhlin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Brogren in the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute Mellbystrand IK were awarded a corner. Joseph Myr went to the cornerflag to take it. Jan-Åke Juhlin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leif Ahlbeck in the 57th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Mellbystrand IK's goal looked a bit too open when Honu Ng came free, but Daniel Alrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mellbystrand IK's Kurt Brogren got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kurt Brogren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Åke Juhlin made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Kurt Brogren sent off a good shot on target. When Kurt Brogren, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 78 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jan-Åke Juhlin was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Kurt Brogren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Juhlin having to interfere. Mellbystrand IK's Daniel Alrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Måns Kjellman in the 83rd minute of play. When Åhus Absolut F.C's Jakob Browall in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mellbystrand IK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 87th minute Lars Julin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Alrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kurt Brogren struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Jan-Åke Juhlin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mellbystrand IK. If Edgar Abersell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kurt Brogren received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jan-Åke Juhlin came out and tried to block the shot, but Kurt Brogren slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 92nd minute. Joakim Mattsson kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mellbystrand IK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
