Spectators: 8487 (Terracing: 6367, Seating: 1951, VIP seats: 169) 3 minutes into the match, Huvudstaden's goalkeeper Bengt Apelquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ted Holmgren. After 5 played minutes Huvudstaden got a freekick which was hit by Eralp Sipahi. In the 8th minute, Patrik Heggert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kalle Askberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 13th minute Tage Rudqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalle Askberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Sundborn IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aqşin Aläkbärov to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alf Hansson got free with Bengt Apelquist in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the match, Sundborn IF's goal looked a bit too open when Tage Rudqvist came free, but Kalle Askberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Huvudstaden's Bengt Apelquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Huvudstaden from getting a goal against them. 2-2 became the score in the 39th minute when Peder Sarstedt elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Bengt Apelquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted Holmgren in the 43rd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Ted Holmgren notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Huvudstaden's Bengt Apelquist. Bengt Apelquist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Peder Sarstedt made the kick off in the second half. Kent Jonasson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peder Sarstedt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Kalle Askberg made a huge save. With his leg Kalle Askberg managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Huvudstaden's Tage Rudqvist fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Huvudstaden's goalkeeper Bengt Apelquist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 62nd minute Patrik Heggert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalle Askberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ted Holmgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bengt Apelquist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ted Holmgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Bengt Apelquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erland Kvist in the 65th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Sundborn IF's goal looked a bit too open when Peder Sarstedt came free, but Kalle Askberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sundborn IF's Kaloyan Mitashev was substituted for Ted Holmgren. The corner ended in Erland Kvist almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Huvudstaden's Bengt Apelquist did a great save. The audience was convinced that Peder Sarstedt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kalle Askberg was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. 85 minutes into the game, Beniamin Wolicki threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sundborn IF's Henning Bennet quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 86 minutes into the match, Sundborn IF's Kaloyan Mitashev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bengt Apelquist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kalle Askberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvid Olsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Bengt Apelquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaloyan Mitashev in the 90th minute of play. Kaloyan Mitashev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bengt Apelquist having to make a save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Huvudstaden players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
