Tommy Beck started the match with the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ronnys Lärjungar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! Victor Malmberg kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Rolf Arvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beniamin Wolicki in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute, George Esbjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Viklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Apelquist having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Bertil Harlén put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Huvudstaden booed when Ronnys Lärjungar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertil Harlén didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Peder Sarstedt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rolf Arvidsson. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 21st match minute, Ronnys Lärjungar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Erik Säf to maneuver through the defense. Rolf Arvidsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrik Heggert in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrik Heggert in the 23rd minute of play forced Ronnys Lärjungar's goalkeeper Rolf Arvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Erik Säf's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bengt Apelquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Ronnys Lärjungar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Esbjörnsson to maneuver through the defense. Rolf Arvidsson was a little too slow when Patrik Heggert got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 3-0. Peder Sarstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Jan-Erik Säf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Apelquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Huvudstaden's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Karl Grep was slow to take the kick. During this time Ronnys Lärjungar's players had a chance to rest. In the 41st minute, Tommy Beck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Patrik Heggert got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tage Rudqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Rolf Arvidsson made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, Ronnys Lärjungar's goal looked a bit too open when Tage Rudqvist came free, but Rolf Arvidsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Patrik Heggert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huvudstaden's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrik Heggert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolf Arvidsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute Tage Rudqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolf Arvidsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Huvudstaden getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Staffan Bruhn hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Ronnys Lärjungar's goal looked a bit too open when Tage Rudqvist came free, but Rolf Arvidsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Patrik Heggert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolf Arvidsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peder Sarstedt in the 69th minute of play forced Ronnys Lärjungar's goalkeeper Rolf Arvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Esbjörnsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bengt Apelquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Peder Sarstedt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Huvudstaden fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Ronnys Lärjungar's Rolf Arvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peder Sarstedt in the 89th minute of play.
