With a little luck, Linköpings AIK's Jimmy Olsson got control of the ball when Vedat Arslanoğlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicklas Håkansson made in the 20th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Inge Nilsson immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willy Witarya in the 23rd minute of play forced Jofurs Drängar's goalkeeper Ola Berg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Linköpings AIK's zone, Vlad Miniș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmy Olsson came out of the goal and Vlad Miniș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Linköpings AIK defense, Vedat Arslanoğlu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jimmy Olsson. The Linköpings AIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jimmy Olsson should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute Vlad Miniș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Olsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jofurs Drängar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Osvald Alkvist in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute, one of Jofurs Drängar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jofurs Drängar. Jofurs Drängar:s Ola Berg showed great skill when he stopped Willy Witarya:s penalty.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Julien Staffelbach got free with Ola Berg in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Vlad Miniș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Jofurs Drängar's Ola Berg got control of the ball when Julien Staffelbach tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julien Staffelbach in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ola Berg saved Jofurs Drängar from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Magnus Glad came free, but Jimmy Olsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jofurs Drängar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Osvald Alkvist in the 66th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Vlad Miniș heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Magnus Glad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jimmy Olsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Willy Witarya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Linköpings AIK and the Jofurs Drängar players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Linköpings AIK's Willy Witarya got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute Magnus Glad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Olsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmy Olsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magnus Glad in the 75th minute of play. If Phan Dung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Magnus Glad put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jimmy Olsson. After 86 minutes Linköpings AIK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Osvald Alkvist who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Osvald Alkvist almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Linköpings AIK's Jimmy Olsson did a great save. After 88 minutes of play, Jofurs Drängar's Phan Dung made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jimmy Olsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ola Berg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julien Staffelbach in the 92nd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jofurs Drängar fans cheered their team off the field, for while Linköpings AIK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
