But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bogdan Ochylski couldn't finish the play. Damazy Brataniec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Korneliusz Dziechciowski fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Labamba Bombata's protests and gave Korneliusz Dziechciowski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Bogdan Ochylski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tolek Pieknik made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Bogdan Ochylski sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 47 minutes, Damazy Brataniec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Labamba Bombata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damazy Brataniec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bogdan Ochylski was the one to do the kick off. Labamba Bombata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montex Lublin the free kick. The Montex Lublin supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Labamba Bombata's performance. The match ended with a win for Labamba Bombata.
