After 4 played minutes Unia Żabików got a freekick which was hit by Kajetan Warka. 5 minutes into the match, Unia Żabików's goal looked a bit too open when Antoon Brugmans came free, but Leon Zahemski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8thth minute of the game Antoon Brugmans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unia Żabików's Leon Zahemski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 8th minute, Kajetan Warka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boguslaw Lichorobiec struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Leon Zahemski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Ajax Gorzów. Leon Zahemski came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Ajax Gorzów's Antoon Brugmans. But to his dismay, Antoon Brugmans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jerzy Drebit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miroslaw Markowski having to interfere. In the 23rdth minute of the game Antoon Brugmans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unia Żabików's Leon Zahemski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leon Zahemski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waclaw Plachetka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zbigniew Juzda's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Miroslaw Markowski firmly grabbed it by the left post. Miroslaw Markowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrzej Mentus in the 33rd minute of play. Leon Zahemski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waclaw Plachetka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Boguslaw Lichorobiec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Zahemski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waclaw Plachetka, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerzy Drebit in the 40th minute of play forced AFC Ajax Gorzów's goalkeeper Miroslaw Markowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zbigniew Juzda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind AFC Ajax Gorzów's goalkeeper Miroslaw Markowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Miroslaw Markowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrzej Mentus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jerzy Drebit took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miroslaw Markowski. Miroslaw Markowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. With a little luck, Unia Żabików's Leon Zahemski got control of the ball when Antoon Brugmans tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leon Zahemski made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Mariusz Kowalski sent off a good shot on target. Zbigniew Juzda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Miroslaw Markowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 66 minutes into the game, when Kajetan Warka put in a rough tackle. 66 minutes into the game, one of Unia Żabików:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave AFC Ajax Gorzów a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Antoon Brugmans, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Unia Żabików's Leon Zahemski. 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Ajax Gorzów's zone, Andrzej Mentus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miroslaw Markowski came out of the goal and Andrzej Mentus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Unia Żabików's Zbigniew Juzda got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leon Zahemski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cacá Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miroslaw Markowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbigniew Juzda, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Zbigniew Juzda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miroslaw Markowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Juzda in the 88th minute of play. When Zbigniew Juzda came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Unia Żabików fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zbigniew Juzda couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the AFC Ajax Gorzów defense, Andrzej Mentus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miroslaw Markowski. The AFC Ajax Gorzów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miroslaw Markowski should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Unia Żabików had won after a very even match.
