In the 16th minute Romildo Bada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Edmund Soszka made a precise shot to the right of André Neves. Steegen SA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Steegen SA's André Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Steegen SA from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Steegen SA's André Neves got control of the ball when Edmund Soszka tried to sneak it across the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Edmund Soszka recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of André Neves. Steegen SA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romildo Bada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Gualterio Burni received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lech Olchowy came out and tried to block the shot, but Gualterio Burni slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 75th minute. André Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmund Soszka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, Steegen SA's goal looked a bit too open when Romildo Bada came free, but André Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
