The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes Oblasek got a freekick which was hit by Adam Charlos. With an all-out effort, Crvena Zvezda Belgrad's Daniel Dres threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leon Merski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 17 minutes into the game, Dariusz Mios was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oblasek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crvena Zvezda Belgrad the free kick. Crvena Zvezda Belgrad's Tadeusz Pawlik couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Oblasek. Lucjan Chlebek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kazimierz Gondela in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Przemyslaw Lichucki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Crvena Zvezda Belgrad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Crvena Zvezda Belgrad's Zdzislaw Damazki got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Beniamin Puszynski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dariusz Mios hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. When Crvena Zvezda Belgrad's Przemyslaw Lichucki in 41 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Daniel Dres guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Oblasek's Cezary Siembab was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lucjan Chlebek in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 53rd minute, Jurand Wawro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the match, Oblasek's goal looked a bit too open when Przemyslaw Lichucki came free, but Daniel Dres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Dres came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Crvena Zvezda Belgrad's Przemyslaw Lichucki. But to his dismay, Przemyslaw Lichucki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After having played for 76 minutes, Przemyslaw Lichucki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crvena Zvezda Belgrad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Przemyslaw Lichucki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oblasek's goalkeeper Daniel Dres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zdzislaw Damazki hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Daniel Dres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Przemyslaw Lichucki, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Daniel Dres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Przemyslaw Lichucki's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Oblasek's goal looked a bit too open when Przemyslaw Lichucki came free, but Daniel Dres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leon Merski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Przemyslaw Lichucki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Daniel Dres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 94th minute of the match Aureliusz Olender sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Dres skillfully saved the ball.
