The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edmund Brack recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. In the 12th minute, Bogdan Smolarek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wojciech's Maksymilian Gabis got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bogdan Smolarek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maksymilian Gabis's late challenge caught a Portschweiten SA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maksymilian Gabis helped the player get up and apologised. Maksymilian Gabis hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Emil Gamza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24thth minute of the game Bogdan Smolarek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portschweiten SA's Maksymilian Spychalski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bogdan Smolarek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Maksymilian Spychalski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maksymilian Spychalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Damaski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Wojciech got a freekick which was hit by Roland Damaski. Emil Kochanowicz hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. A collision led to Wojciech getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Roland Damaski hit a great ball. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wojciech's goalkeeper Teofil Wejta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Radomil Kaszubowski fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portschweiten SA's protests and gave Radomil Kaszubowski a yellow card for diving instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emil Gamza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bogdan Smolarek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maksymilian Spychalski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Portschweiten SA's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Damaski came free, but Maksymilian Spychalski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58thth minute of the game Emil Gamza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wojciech's Teofil Wejta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 71 played minutes, Wojciech's Tadeusz Siwy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maksymilian Spychalski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wojciech reached it. Maksymilian Gabis hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. When Emil Gamza fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portschweiten SA's protests and gave Emil Gamza a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Portschweiten SA got a freekick which was hit by Emil Gamza. Wojciech's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
