The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Witold Zuraw made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emil Kostrzewa in the 4th minute. Borys Napierkowski scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Krzysztof Kajfasz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borys Napierkowski in the 9th minute of play forced HDS Radziejów's goalkeeper Krzysztof Kajfasz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Witold Zuraw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Czeslaw Glembin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Krzysztof Kajfasz came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Grodna's Borys Napierkowski. But to his dismay, Borys Napierkowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Beniamin Rekawiczka took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Witold Zuraw to make any attempt to save it. When Grodna's Borys Napierkowski in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye HDS Radziejów's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 29 minutes, Stanislaw Magdziarz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grodna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stanislaw Magdziarz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filip Karbowski hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute of the match Witalis Nieuzyla sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Witold Zuraw skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herbert Dembowski got free with Witold Zuraw in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 34 played minutes HDS Radziejów got a freekick which was hit by Witalis Nieuzyla. Krzysztof Kajfasz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borys Napierkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. HDS Radziejów's Krzysztof Kajfasz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Borys Napierkowski in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match Witalis Nieuzyla shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Witold Zuraw showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The HDS Radziejów players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grodna were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Borys Napierkowski to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Borys Napierkowski put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Krzysztof Kajfasz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borys Napierkowski in the 56th minute of play forced HDS Radziejów's goalkeeper Krzysztof Kajfasz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Borys Napierkowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Krzysztof Kajfasz made a huge save. Witold Zuraw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Dembowski in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match, Stanislaw Magdziarz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Krzysztof Kajfasz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Emil Kostrzewa's late challenge caught a Grodna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emil Kostrzewa helped the player get up and apologised. Juliusz Turak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Krzysztof Kajfasz made a huge save. After 76 played minutes Grodna got a freekick which was hit by Ksawery Gozdowski. 85 minutes into the match, HDS Radziejów's goal looked a bit too open when Juliusz Turak came free, but Krzysztof Kajfasz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Czeslaw Wallach made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by HDS Radziejów's Teofil Cytrynski. In the 90th minute Filip Karbowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krzysztof Kajfasz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, HDS Radziejów's goal looked a bit too open when Borys Napierkowski came free, but Krzysztof Kajfasz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
