Krzemionki SA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludomil Piekarczyk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute Herbert Drebit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wlodzimierz Mnich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Przemyslaw Bojanowski got free with Wlodzimierz Mnich in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wlodzimierz Mnich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomil Wykowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herbert Drebit during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
