Fernando Fonseca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 26 minutes into the match, Mawer Nowa Huta's goalkeeper Natalio Clodio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ignacy Bryk. If Ignacy Bryk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mawer Nowa Huta's Dariusz Wieloch got his second yellow card of the match in the 35th minute. The referee ordered Dariusz Wieloch off the ground. In the 42ndth minute of the game Tolek Trojanowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosocha's Fernando Fonseca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zenon Awizo in the 44th minute of play forced Rosocha's goalkeeper Fernando Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the game, Giuseppe Rosado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ziemowit Ciechocki was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ignacy Bryk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacy Bryk in the 55th minute of play forced Mawer Nowa Huta's goalkeeper Natalio Clodio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tolek Trojanowski got free with Fernando Fonseca in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Natalio Clodio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacy Bryk's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Tolek Trojanowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Fonseca having to interfere. Fernando Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zenon Awizo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 82nd minute, Ignacy Bryk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Natalio Clodio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 93rdth minute of the game Tolek Trojanowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosocha's Fernando Fonseca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
