Wojciech Sobania took the corner. 11 minutes into the match, Dąbrowa Górnicza's goalkeeper Ksawery Chrobak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zula Leper. The supporters of Stal Sanok booed when Dąbrowa Górnicza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobiasz Redisz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes Dąbrowa Górnicza got a freekick which was hit by Boguslaw Rosiewicz. When Przemyslaw Nieruchliwy fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dąbrowa Górnicza's protests and gave Przemyslaw Nieruchliwy a yellow card for diving instead. Ksawery Chrobak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zula Leper kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes, Dąbrowa Górnicza's Przemyslaw Nieruchliwy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Herbert Zima came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dąbrowa Górnicza reached it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Aleksander Czubski made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Zula Leper made a precise shot to the right of Ksawery Chrobak. Dąbrowa Górnicza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Ksawery Chrobak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aleksander Czubski went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Stal Sanok's Walmir Meirelles was substituted for Wojciech Sobania. Herbert Zima made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boguslaw Rosiewicz in the 66th minute. In the 68th match minute, Stal Sanok was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksander Czubski to maneuver through the defense. Dąbrowa Górnicza's Ksawery Chrobak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zula Leper in the 75th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Stal Sanok was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartosz Leper to maneuver through the defense. If Aleksander Czubski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
