The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Žilvinas Aurila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbyszek Galus in the 6th minute of the match. Marek Grajewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niki De Poorter went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 11th minute, Niki De Poorter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.K.Zagórze fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Zbyszek Galus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niki De Poorter might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marek Grajewski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niki De Poorter ran back to his position shaking his head. Stefan Ochabski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marek Grajewski came out and tried to block the shot, but Stefan Ochabski slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartosz Latocha in the 40th minute of play forced A.K.Zagórze's goalkeeper Žilvinas Aurila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bartosz Latocha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emil Lepper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Žilvinas Aurila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Žilvinas Aurila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maksymilian Augustyn in the 56th minute. Niki De Poorter kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. With a little luck, A.K.Zagórze's Žilvinas Aurila got control of the ball when Bartosz Latocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Bartosz Latocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Hutnik Nowa Huta's zone, Niki De Poorter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marek Grajewski came out of the goal and Niki De Poorter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the match, Hutnik Nowa Huta's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Ochabski came free, but Marek Grajewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Maksymilian Augustyn dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Žilvinas Aurila, 3-2. Žilvinas Aurila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbyszek Galus in the 77th minute of play. 3-3 became the score in the 81st minute when Zbyszek Galus elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Hutnik Nowa Huta's Bartosz Latocha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Žilvinas Aurila. That made the score 3-4 after 88 minutes of play. Zbyszek Galus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Žilvinas Aurila successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hutnik Nowa Huta eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
