Wlodzimierz Zakrzewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanislaw Zachemski in the 8th minute of the match. If Cyryl Rekawiczka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute of the match, Iwan Bejger tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wlodzimierz Zakrzewski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Agenor Quaresma hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Roman Budrewicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerzy Soliwoda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roman Budrewicz ran back to his position shaking his head. 40 minutes into the match, Suchowala SA's Dariusz Poling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jerzy Soliwoda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41stth minute of the game Dariusz Poling who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but West Ham United's Jerzy Soliwoda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Suchowala SA were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cyryl Rekawiczka made the kick off in the second half. Iwan Bejger struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Wlodzimierz Zakrzewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Ham United. In the 59th minute Cyryl Rekawiczka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wlodzimierz Zakrzewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agenor Quaresma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerzy Soliwoda having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Dariusz Poling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Suchowala SA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dariusz Poling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cyryl Rekawiczka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute Daniel Marx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wlodzimierz Zakrzewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 played minutes Suchowala SA got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Makomaski. Iwan Bejger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wlodzimierz Zakrzewski having to interfere. After 79 minutes of play, West Ham United's Cyryl Rekawiczka made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wlodzimierz Zakrzewski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iwan Bejger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wlodzimierz Zakrzewski having to make a save. Pawel Banan hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, West Ham United's Teofil Pazura sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wlodzimierz Zakrzewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Iwan Bejger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wlodzimierz Zakrzewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyryl Rekawiczka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Suchowala SA had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
