The crowd rose to their feet as Zorza Nowe Żabno's Konrad Filipkowski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sylwester Rydzewski. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. In the 18th minute, Mariusz Dec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bogdan Stoica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Sylwester Rydzewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Wojciech Janiczek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wasyl Brzakala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Izydor Osikowicz scored 1-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wasyl Brzakala, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Proch Pionki's zone, Damian Kanczuszewski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sylwester Rydzewski came out of the goal and Damian Kanczuszewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute Wojciech Janiczek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wasyl Brzakala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Proch Pionki's Izydor Osikowicz got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Konrad Filipkowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Sylwester Rydzewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Stoica, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. If Damian Kanczuszewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Proch Pionki supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Proch Pionki would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
