When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Abdulkerim Arıbaş sped through Pyrlandia Poznań's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kazimierz Penc. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franciszek Jajecznica in the 40th minute of play forced FC Sunrise's goalkeeper Zdzislaw Chwalkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Sunrise's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franciszek Jajecznica was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Sunrise had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
