With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadeusz Solak in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zula Siedlecki saved Rzymkowice SSA from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Tadeusz Solak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zula Siedlecki was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadeusz Solak got free with Zula Siedlecki in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Slawomir Cipinski fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newton Heath FC's protests and gave Slawomir Cipinski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Newton Heath FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play.
