The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the game, Patryk Kiewra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uników SA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KKS Lech Poznań the free kick. A collision led to Uników SA getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Patryk Kiewra hit a great ball. In the 16th minute Lucjan Niewiadomski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zygmunt Chrzan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waclaw Budzynski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remigiusz Niemojewski in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Uników SA's Rafal Ciszewski got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remigiusz Niemojewski got free with Waclaw Budzynski in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as KKS Lech Poznań's Korneliusz Puzio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Waclaw Budzynski. That made the score 1-0 after 34 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remigiusz Niemojewski got free with Waclaw Budzynski in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Waclaw Budzynski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Korneliusz Puzio in the 39th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Florian Wysocki put in a rough tackle. In the 43rd minute, one of Uników SA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Uników SA. Uników SA:s Waclaw Budzynski showed great skill when he stopped Bruno Massa:s penalty. KKS Lech Poznań's Remigiusz Niemojewski got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Korneliusz Puzio made the kick off in the second half. Remigiusz Niemojewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Korneliusz Puzio made a precise shot to the right of Waclaw Budzynski. Uników SA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 61 minutes into the game, KKS Lech Poznań's Karol Wieloch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waclaw Budzynski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Waclaw Budzynski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigiusz Niemojewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waclaw Budzynski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Korneliusz Puzio in the 70th minute of the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Lucjan Niewiadomski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uników SA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucjan Niewiadomski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Uników SA's Waclaw Budzynski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Korneliusz Puzio in the 78th minute of play. Korneliusz Puzio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Korneliusz Puzio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waclaw Budzynski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the KKS Lech Poznań players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
