The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jakub Kochniarczyk showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 4 played minutes Young Boys got a freekick which was hit by Grzegorz Bambas. 7 minutes into the match, Young Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Czerny came free, but Jakub Kochniarczyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Miroslaw Derlanga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miroslaw Derlanga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Jakub Kochniarczyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 20 minutes, Janusz Miazga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Young Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Janusz Miazga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute, Miromir Augustyniak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mirko Warringa was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Marcin Malewicz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcin Malewicz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Mikolaj Wierzchowski hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in UKS Lotos's zone, Marcin Malewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mirko Warringa came out of the goal and Marcin Malewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute Marcin Malewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mirko Warringa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mirko Warringa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Janusz Miazga in the 38th minute. If Miroslaw Derlanga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mirko Warringa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcin Malewicz in the 48th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leon Czerny made a kick off. When Janusz Miazga came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Young Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Janusz Miazga couldn't finish the play. Jakub Kochniarczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Czerny in the 58th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Young Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyprian Rosiewicz to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Jakub Kochniarczyk successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miroslaw Derlanga got free with Jakub Kochniarczyk in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Janusz Miazga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cyprian Rosiewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Mirko Warringa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leon Czerny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jakub Kochniarczyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
