With an all-out effort, Zygmuntowo's Roman Zawada threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bogumil Skaradowski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wlodzimierz Grabski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roman Zawada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marek Chludzinski, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 67th minute, Pankracy Literski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zygmuntowo's Aureliusz Rakowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zula Wolnik in the 92nd minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, Bogumil Skaradowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Roman Zawada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
