Spectators: 7272 (Terracing: 5456, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 144) Leon Kisielka started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Kotowy's Zula Bara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Falkowski in the 5th minute of play. Zula Bara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wladyslaw Prus, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After a rather tough play, Kotowy's Bernard Pazura got a free kick in the 10th minute. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kotowy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Filip Polkoski was slow to take the kick. During this time Benenard's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Benenard's Filip Polkoski to fire away a dangerous shot which Zula Bara despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Zula Bara came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Benenard's Jan Falkowski. But to his dismay, Jan Falkowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Kotowy's Leon Kisielka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugon Dziuma narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Falkowski in the 22nd minute of play forced Kotowy's goalkeeper Zula Bara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Benenard got a corner. Kotowy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filip Polkoski ran over to the corner to take the kick. Filip Polkoski made a great header on Benenard's corner, it was just that Kotowy's Zula Bara managed to reach the ball for a save. Jan Falkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Zula Bara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Kotowy getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Aureliusz Wieczorek hit a great ball. Jan Falkowski struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Zula Bara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benenard. Igor Poling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugon Dziuma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Gamza in the 43rd minute. After 46 played minutes Benenard got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Huratiak. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan Falkowski to make the kick off. Wladyslaw Prus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Jan Falkowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zula Bara was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. A collision led to Kotowy getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Edgar Czajka hit a great ball. Igor Poling struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Zula Bara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benenard. After having played for 76 minutes, Jan Falkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benenard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Falkowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jan Falkowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zula Bara having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Falkowski got free with Zula Bara in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wladyslaw Prus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zula Bara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play.
