The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Norbert Cerocki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Roman Cupial tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aureliusz Poremba hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, Chelsea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Janusz Damaski came free, but Roman Cupial reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Duranów's Filip Flis in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chelsea FC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Chelsea FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Miroslaw Rutecki hit a great ball. Leonard Plech could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Tanek Mondrowski made a huge save. Ludomir Lepper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Roman Cupial tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea FC's zone, Janusz Damaski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Cupial came out of the goal and Janusz Damaski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roman Cupial stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Janusz Damaski's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Janusz Damaski might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Cupial. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Janusz Damaski ran back to his position shaking his head. After 40 minutes, Ludomir Lepper mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Duranów and the Chelsea FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Janusz Damaski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roman Cupial read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Duranów were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Chelsea FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zenon Seliga took the corner. Duranów's Zenon Seliga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Roman Cupial in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Ludomir Lepper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Ludomir Lepper put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Roman Cupial. Ludomir Lepper struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Roman Cupial didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duranów. 78 minutes into the match, Chelsea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Janusz Damaski came free, but Roman Cupial reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Chelsea FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslaw Rutecki to maneuver through the defense. Zenon Seliga, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Chelsea FC's Leonard Plech got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Janusz Damaski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Cupial having to interfere. In the 99th minute the ball was on its way in behind Duranów's goalkeeper Tanek Mondrowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
