An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariusz Kossakowski in the 33rd minute of play forced Sandecja's goalkeeper Bernard Bejgier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Walery Czajka came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Sandecja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walery Czajka couldn't finish the play. Szklaramus Gniezno's Stasio Dresik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Szklaramus Gniezno from getting a goal against them. If Antoni Jurgiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Antoni Jurgiel made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Sandecja's Wladyslaw Kensicki got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Wincenty Gacek hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Szklaramus Gniezno walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
