The crowd rose to their feet as Mikolaj Skoroda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Janusz Tamulewicz. That made the score 2-1 in the 36 minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Mikolaj Skoroda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oels's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikolaj Skoroda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michal Pankowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wladyslaw Jaruzelski, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 48 minutes into the match, F . No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wladyslaw Jaruzelski was the one to do the kick off. If Igor Bykowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But to his dismay, Wasyl Orling quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Janusz Tamulewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wasyl Orling in the 80th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Wasyl Orling got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mikolaj Skoroda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Janusz Tamulewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
