He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in F . C . Bytom reached it. Michal Joks came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by F . C . Bytom's Wladyslaw Jaruzelski. But to his dismay, Wladyslaw Jaruzelski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Bykowski in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michal Joks saved stal staromiescie from getting behind. The supporters of F . C . Bytom booed when stal staromiescie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikolaj Pietrowicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute F . C . Bytom were awarded a corner. Leonard Ciempa went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led F . C . After some careless play in the stal staromiescie defense, Igor Bykowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michal Joks. The stal staromiescie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michal Joks should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wladyslaw Jaruzelski was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Bykowski got free with Michal Joks in the 100th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The F . C . Bytom supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing F . C . Bytom would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
