In the 11th minute, Stasio Witwicki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerzy Antoszewski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Marjampol's Stasio Witwicki got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Stasio Witwicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerzy Antoszewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stasio Witwicki in the 27th minute of play. Jerzy Antoszewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stasio Witwicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, AKS Niwka Sosnowiec's goal looked a bit too open when Szymon Jaroch came free, but Jerzy Antoszewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marjampol's Sylwester Ziombkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominik Zdrojowy in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Marjampol's Szymon Jaroch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jerzy Antoszewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 44 minutes into the game, when Bogdan Trochowski put in a rough tackle. Szymon Jaroch who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Jerzy Antoszewski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Marjampol's Stasio Witwicki slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jerzy Antoszewski. That made the score 0-3 after 68 minutes of play. Szymon Jaroch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Jerzy Antoszewski made a huge save. If Stasio Witwicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerzy Antoszewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stasio Witwicki in the 78th minute of the match. Radoslaw Dankowski hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Stasio Witwicki struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Jerzy Antoszewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marjampol. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Marjampol eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
