Bogumil Mietus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franciszek Hoffman, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludomil Fujarczuk in the 20th minute of play forced Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Borys Cebula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bogumil Mietus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franciszek Hoffman's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Franciszek Hoffman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bogumil Mietus was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Stanica SA's zone, Franciszek Hoffman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogumil Mietus came out of the goal and Franciszek Hoffman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franciszek Hoffman in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bogumil Mietus saved Stanica SA from getting behind. Franciszek Hoffman struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Bogumil Mietus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sosnowiec. Bogumil Mietus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Czeslaw Niezywy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franciszek Giejda hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Franciszek Hoffman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Czeslaw Niezywy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Czeslaw Niezywy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogumil Mietus having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Franciszek Zachemski hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Czeslaw Niezywy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Stanica SA! Waldemar Jarosiewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Borys Cebula tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Franciszek Hoffman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute.
