The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Waldemar Nakonieczny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wladyslaw Burowski in the 3rd minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Edward Kiszkiel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ZASPA Gdańsk's Waldemar Nakonieczny. Waldemar Nakonieczny was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. ZASPA Gdańsk's Waldemar Nakonieczny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wladyslaw Burowski in the 8th minute of play. Olgierd Augustyniak hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 14 played minutes ZASPA Gdańsk got a freekick which was hit by Olgierd Augustyniak. After 17 minutes of play, ZASPA Gdańsk's Ludomir Piglowski made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sylwester Nigbor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Waldemar Nakonieczny came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Shire's Edward Kiszkiel. But to his dismay, Edward Kiszkiel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Waldemar Nakonieczny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Kiszkiel in the 26th minute of the match. When Wladyslaw Burowski came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the FC Shire fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wladyslaw Burowski couldn't finish the play. Teobald Zapolski's late challenge caught a FC Shire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teobald Zapolski helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ZASPA Gdańsk getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Teobald Zapolski hit a great ball. ZASPA Gdańsk's Waldemar Nakonieczny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Kiszkiel in the 36th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, ZASPA Gdańsk's goal looked a bit too open when Wladyslaw Burowski came free, but Waldemar Nakonieczny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waldemar Nakonieczny didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Kiszkiel went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wlodzimierz Rekawiczka stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, FC Shire's Edward Kiszkiel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Waldemar Nakonieczny. Waldemar Nakonieczny yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Edward Kiszkiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to ZASPA Gdańsk getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Olgierd Augustyniak hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in ZASPA Gdańsk's zone, Wladyslaw Burowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldemar Nakonieczny came out of the goal and Wladyslaw Burowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wladyslaw Burowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Waldemar Nakonieczny made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Waldemar Nakonieczny successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. ZASPA Gdańsk's Waldemar Nakonieczny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Kiszkiel in the 78th minute of play. After 79 played minutes ZASPA Gdańsk got a freekick which was hit by Ziemowit Wlodyga. In the 80th minute, Edward Kiszkiel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldemar Nakonieczny was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. 96 minutes into the match, FC Shire's goal looked a bit too open when Ludomir Piglowski came free, but Sylwester Nigbor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Shire's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
