An unexpectedly hard shot by Wieslaw Resel in the 9th minute of play forced F.C.BVB's goalkeeper Witomir Grucza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, F.C.BVB's goalkeeper Witomir Grucza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerzy Setara. Milosz Basinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomir Nowacki, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Lech Wallach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lech Wallach's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Milosz Basinski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. F.C.BVB's Lech Pietrowiak got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Zygmunt Majdoch fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored slask wroclaw's protests and gave Zygmunt Majdoch a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, slask wroclaw's Zygmunt Majdoch got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute of the match Cezary Zima sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Milosz Basinski skillfully saved the ball. Radomir Nowacki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in F.C.BVB's zone, Jerzy Setara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Witomir Grucza came out of the goal and Jerzy Setara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Jerzy Setara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. slask wroclaw's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerzy Setara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to slask wroclaw getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Zygmunt Majdoch hit a great ball. In the 47th minute Jerzy Setara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Witomir Grucza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jerzy Setara made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerzy Setara in the 52nd minute of play forced F.C.BVB's goalkeeper Witomir Grucza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lech Wallach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C.BVB's goalkeeper Witomir Grucza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Waclaw Burdzel charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Waclaw Burdzel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 66 played minutes F.C.BVB got a freekick which was hit by Waclaw Burdzel. 67 minutes into the match, F.C.BVB's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Setara came free, but Witomir Grucza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lech Wallach in the 71st minute of play forced slask wroclaw's goalkeeper Milosz Basinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. F.C.BVB's Witomir Grucza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerzy Setara in the 77th minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Lech Wallach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but slask wroclaw's Milosz Basinski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in slask wroclaw's zone, Lech Wallach stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Milosz Basinski came out of the goal and Lech Wallach tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lech Pietrowiak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milosz Basinski having to interfere. If Jerzy Setara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
