A collision led to Widzewek getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Zbyszek Jaks hit a great ball. After 7 played minutes Widzewek got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Plucinik. The attack was good, but when Tolek Mis in the 8th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Remigiusz Czaplicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mieszko Lukasik came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Widzewek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mieszko Lukasik couldn't finish the play. After 25 minutes, Lothar Matthäus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Selea and the Widzewek players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th match minute, FC Selea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lothar Matthäus to maneuver through the defense. The wind increased when Remigiusz Czaplicki made the kick off in the second half. Tolek Mis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Remigiusz Czaplicki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Selea fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mieszko Lukasik got free with Tytus Zacharzewski in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Remigiusz Czaplicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roch Pochorylo having to interfere. FC Selea's Remigiusz Czaplicki got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remigiusz Czaplicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Kajetan Jaruzelski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
