Spectators: 6778 (Terracing: 5100, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zbyszek Olchowy started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbyszek Olchowy in the 8th minute of play forced lzs Grodziec's goalkeeper Witold Skwira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Witold Skwira came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Widzew Łódź's Napoleon Zbydniewski. But to his dismay, Napoleon Zbydniewski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bernard Gregorczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Witold Skwira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Napoleon Zbydniewski's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. A collision led to lzs Grodziec getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Zbyszko Dembowski hit a great ball. lzs Grodziec's Witold Skwira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbyszek Olchowy in the 21st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Zbyszek Olchowy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Witold Skwira was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Pawel Sakowicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Igor Jerzyk having to make a save. Zbyszek Olchowy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Witold Skwira having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Napoleon Zbydniewski in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Witold Skwira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pawel Sakowicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Igor Jerzyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Bernard Maurycy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Widzew Łódź's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernard Maurycy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Witold Skwira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th match minute, lzs Grodziec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zbyszko Dembowski to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 39 minutes, Zbyszek Olchowy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Widzew Łódź's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zbyszek Olchowy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pawel Sakowicz was the one to do the kick off. If Pawel Sakowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernard Gregorczyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Jerzyk having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Bernard Gregorczyk made a precise shot to the right of Igor Jerzyk. Widzew Łódź's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Witold Skwira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zachary Zatorski in the 62nd minute. Igor Jerzyk came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by lzs Grodziec's Pawel Sakowicz. But to his dismay, Pawel Sakowicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Igor Jerzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pawel Sakowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernard Gregorczyk in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Jerzyk saved Widzew Łódź from getting behind. Bernard Gregorczyk kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Zbyszek Olchowy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the match, lzs Grodziec's Bernard Gregorczyk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Igor Jerzyk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Igor Jerzyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pawel Sakowicz in the 79th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Widzew Łódź's goal looked a bit too open when Bernard Gregorczyk came free, but Igor Jerzyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
