The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Boruc Dombroski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. Boruc Dombroski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mieszko Hajder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Napoleon Daszkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Napoleon Daszkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mieszko Hajder in the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoni Walkowski in the 28th minute of play forced Dzików SSA's goalkeeper Konrad Filipkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Duck's Napoleon Daszkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mieszko Hajder in the 37th minute of play. Ludomir Zacharek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konrad Filipkowski having to interfere. Konrad Filipkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludomir Zacharek, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After 45 minutes, Witold Winnicki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Duck and the Dzików SSA players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to The Duck getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Witold Winnicki hit a great ball. After the first half The Duck were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 59th minute, Szczepan Felenak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, The Duck's Mieszko Narbut broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 62 minutes into the game, Mieszko Hajder cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Napoleon Daszkowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Antoni Walkowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
