Bartosz Dankowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Opat having to interfere. Klement Porajewski's late challenge caught a Marienburg SSA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klement Porajewski helped the player get up and apologised. Ignacy Lampa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Jan Wieloch got a free kick in the 12th minute. Marienburg SSA's Bartosz Dankowski got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ignacy Lampa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bartosz Dankowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmund Opat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witold Czerner, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Marienburg SSA's Hugon Raflewski couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Zawisza Bydgoszcz. Ignacy Lampa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmund Opat having to make a save. Bartosz Dankowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 41 played minutes Zawisza Bydgoszcz got a freekick which was hit by Klement Pazura. After 43 played minutes Zawisza Bydgoszcz got a freekick which was hit by Wincent Setara. Bartosz Dankowski charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bartosz Dankowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ignacy Lampa was the one to do the kick off. During the 57th minute of the match Klement Pazura completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Klement Pazura a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Zawisza Bydgoszcz getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Klement Pazura hit a great ball. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Edmund Opat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacy Lampa in the 60th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Ignacy Lampa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmund Opat was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 72nd minute, Eugeniusz Posadzki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ignacy Lampa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Opat having to interfere. Konrad Balkiewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Edmund Opat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Ignacy Lampa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmund Opat. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ignacy Lampa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. There was no doubt that Marienburg SSA were the better team. Marienburg SSA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
