Olaf Pietrowiak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Lech Poznań's Edison Cavani got control of the ball when Olaf Pietrowiak tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Czeslaw Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zachariasz Waselewicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugeniusz Karanewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. If Wlodzimierz Pietras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zachariasz Waselewicz to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Zwycięstwo F.C.'s zone, Zachariasz Waselewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugeniusz Karanewski came out of the goal and Zachariasz Waselewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zachariasz Waselewicz struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Eugeniusz Karanewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lech Poznań. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Wlodzimierz Pietras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lech Poznań's supporters rose to their feet, but Wlodzimierz Pietras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugeniusz Karanewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Zwycięstwo F.C. getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Edward Petrasz hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute Czeslaw Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edison Cavani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lech Poznań's Zachariasz Waselewicz got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Lech Poznań's goal looked a bit too open when Olaf Pietrowiak came free, but Edison Cavani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edison Cavani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olaf Pietrowiak in the 87th minute of the match. If Zachariasz Waselewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Czeslaw Barna in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edison Cavani saved Lech Poznań from getting behind. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
