Zbyszko Dynda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ryszard Pieknik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marek Sroka during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ryszard Pieknik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanislaw Nigbor, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Szymon Kordalewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stanislaw Nigbor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ryszard Pieknik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stanislaw Nigbor might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ryszard Pieknik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stanislaw Nigbor ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wincenty Marciewicz was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Zbyszko Dynda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryszard Pieknik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Stanislaw Nigbor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in MKS KLUCZBORK's zone, Szymon Kordalewski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugon Dytrych came out of the goal and Szymon Kordalewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute, Iwo Pryputnicki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wincenty Marciewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugon Dytrych having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Szymon Kordalewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Royal Diamonds's supporters rose to their feet, but Szymon Kordalewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugon Dytrych breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 72 minutes into the match, MKS KLUCZBORK's goal looked a bit too open when Wincenty Marciewicz came free, but Hugon Dytrych reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Stanislaw Nigbor came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the MKS KLUCZBORK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stanislaw Nigbor couldn't finish the play. Ryszard Pieknik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbyszko Dynda in the 78th minute of play. Royal Diamonds's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Zbyszko Dynda 87 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Hugon Dytrych showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wincenty Marciewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
