The goalkeeper, Waclaw Matuch, was totally fooled by WIDZEW's Szymon Sitko, who 9 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. WIDZEW's Wincent Erland was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 12th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 17th minute Wincent Erland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waclaw Matuch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of WIDZEW booed when Geislingen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Brytka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zygmunt Banas hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. If Marek Ogrodowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Napoleon Sroka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliusz Mojsiewicz in the 34th minute of play. Borys Jaks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waclaw Matuch having to interfere. Waclaw Matuch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Borys Jaks in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wincent Erland was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind WIDZEW's goalkeeper Napoleon Sroka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wincent Erland couldn't finish the play. If Borys Jaks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. WIDZEW's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
