The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zula Pierz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Radowit Babicki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Radowit Babicki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gwidon Dawiec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zula Pierz in the 10th minute of play forced Karakany's goalkeeper Radowit Babicki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Karakany's goal looked a bit too open when Zula Pierz came free, but Radowit Babicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zula Pierz might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Radowit Babicki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zula Pierz ran back to his position shaking his head. Mariusz Pochorylo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Witold Gniewek in the 31st minute. The audience was convinced that Zula Pierz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radowit Babicki was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Karakany's Witold Gniewek got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 46th minute, Tomasz Borucki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mariusz Pochorylo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Karakany's Tomasz Borucki got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mariusz Pochorylo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliusz Szotek in the 62nd minute of the match. If Aureliusz Szotek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the game, Gwidon Dawiec cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Radowit Babicki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd minute, Karol Gollob hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Zula Pierz took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Radowit Babicki to make any attempt to save it. Karakany's Lech Dombrowski got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tadeusz Polkoski hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Tomasz Borucki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Mariusz Pochorylo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariusz Pochorylo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliusz Szotek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Golden State Warriors supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Golden State Warriors would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
