Gustaw Jajesniak's late challenge caught a Sparta Augustów's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stanislaw Nikodemski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Turek in the 33rd minute of the match. Krzysztof Majewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan Pachucki in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iwan Rydz to make the kick off. Sparta Augustów's Jan Pachucki got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jan Pachucki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Krzysztof Majewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Ryszard Bronicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeusz Tipinski couldn't finish the play.
