Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Izydor Karpinski started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Rzeszowskie Sokoły's zone, Mariusz Falke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Fink came out of the goal and Mariusz Falke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Górnik Lubin:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rzeszowskie Sokoły:s goal. The referee gave Rzeszowskie Sokoły a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Klement Skaradowski, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Górnik Lubin's Tytus Pracki. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ryszard Pyczkowski in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tytus Pracki saved Górnik Lubin from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Górnik Lubin's goal looked a bit too open when Ryszard Pyczkowski came free, but Tytus Pracki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waclaw Golec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tytus Pracki having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Waclaw Golec put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tytus Pracki. Tytus Pracki came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Rzeszowskie Sokoły's Waclaw Golec. But to his dismay, Waclaw Golec quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Mariusz Falke took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Fink. Edgar Fink dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waclaw Golec to make the kick off. 55 minutes in the game, Waclaw Golec fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tytus Pracki having to interfere. Waclaw Golec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute Rzeszowskie Sokoły were awarded a corner. Klement Skaradowski went to the cornerflag to take it. Waclaw Golec made a great header on Rzeszowskie Sokoły's corner, it was just that Górnik Lubin's Tytus Pracki managed to reach the ball for a save. 65 minutes into the game, Izydor Karpinski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Edgar Fink was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rzeszowskie Sokoły's Zenon Kociniewski was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 69th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The supporters of Rzeszowskie Sokoły booed when Górnik Lubin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radomir Kensicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ryszard Pyczkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radomir Dresik hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Ryszard Pyczkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, Ryszard Pyczkowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tytus Pracki. Górnik Lubin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ryszard Pyczkowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. Rzeszowskie Sokoły's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
