After having played for 4 minutes, Marian Debowy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Serwatki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marian Debowy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Krzysztof Madajczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marian Debowy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barnaba Ramzinski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Modrzewski in the 17th minute of play forced Serwatki's goalkeeper Filip Wierzchowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Krzysztof Madajczyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Eugeniusz Skirzynski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugeniusz Skirzynski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krzysztof Madajczyk in the 25th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marian Debowy in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugeniusz Skirzynski saved Górnik Zawiercie from getting behind. Krzysztof Madajczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karol Lizewski charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karol Lizewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Serwatki getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Karol Lizewski hit a great ball. Filip Wierzchowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Modrzewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Marian Debowy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugeniusz Skirzynski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Marian Debowy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Eugeniusz Skirzynski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugeniusz Skirzynski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbyszko Mroczynski in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Krzysztof Madajczyk was the one to do the kick off. Marian Debowy let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 53rd minute shot 0-2 at rihgt post. Czeslaw Poling was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 69th minute, Barnaba Ramzinski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Górnik Zawiercie's goal looked a bit too open when Krzysztof Madajczyk came free, but Eugeniusz Skirzynski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marian Debowy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Eugeniusz Skirzynski made a huge save. 94 minutes into the match, Serwatki's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Modrzewski came free, but Filip Wierzchowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serwatki were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
