After 19 minutes, Gustaw Rydz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cygów and the Leo chieri players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Gustaw Rydz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olgierd Molski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leszek Niziolek showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gustaw Rydz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Boleslaw Buczko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boleslaw Buczko came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Cygów's Gustaw Rydz. But to his dismay, Gustaw Rydz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Gustaw Rydz was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 64th minute, Wasyl Solak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leo chieri fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Witold Barycz scored 2-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leszek Niziolek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zenon Gacki might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leszek Niziolek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zenon Gacki ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 75th minute, Zenon Gacki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leszek Niziolek was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Witold Barycz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leszek Niziolek having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Cygów's goal looked a bit too open when Witold Barycz came free, but Leszek Niziolek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leszek Niziolek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zenon Gacki, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Leszek Niziolek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witold Barycz in the 93rd minute of the match. If Zenon Gacki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
